Blair T. Stouffer, MAI, SRA

Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. degree. After receiving his SRPA designation in 1985, he founded Blair T. Stouffer & Associates, Inc. The company name has since been changed to Stouffer & Associates, L.L.P. In 1988, Blair was awarded the MAI designation (Member of the Appraisal Institute) which is the most respected appraisal organization in the country. In 1994, Blair served as President of the San Antonio Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. With over 28 years of appraisal experience, Blair also has extensive experience in expert witness testimony in state and federal courts. In January of 2004 Blair opened a second office located in Boerne, Texas. The opening of this office reflects the growing demand for our appraisal services in all areas. Blair T. Stouffer, MAI, SRA is currently the Managing Partner of Stouffer & Associates, LLP.

Gary R. Miller, MAI

Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. degree. He earned his MAI designation in 1994. Gary has been with Stouffer & Associates since 1989. His professional career has been in the real estate industry, with experience in project management with a commercial general contractor and cost analysis with an architectural firm. Gary has extensive experience in appraising a wide spectrum of commercial property types. He was the 2002 President of the San Antonio Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.

Robert V. Hicks, MAI

Received his Master’s degree from Texas A&M University in Land Economics & Real Estate. He received his MAI designation in 1991 and is also in the ranching business in Bandera County giving him a strong background in the agricultural sector. With over 21 years of appraisal experience, he has performed and reviewed thousands of commercial appraisals of most property types throughout the state of Texas in over 100 different counties. Rob typically appraises approximately 100 farm/ranch/land properties each year in many south and central Texas counties. He also performs many commercial appraisals each year in Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Boerne, Bandera and other towns. Other property types include right-of-way properties and all types of easements including over 50 conservation easements. Rob has resided in Boerne since 1994 and is the branch manager of our Boerne location shown herein.

Gary L. Mowrey

Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. degree. Gary has over 30 years of experience in most phases of commercial real estate including brokerage, leasing, management and development of various projects. He began appraising in 1990 and his areas of expertise are industrial, office, retail, multi-family, self-storage and subdivision analysis. Acting as a consultant, he also has an extensive background in site selection for retail users.

James E. Thomas

Attended Westminster College and Evansville University. Earned an Associates Degree from San Antonio College in Homebuilding and Construction. Jim has 30 years of commercial real estate experience. This includes the brokerage of apartments, land developments and farms and ranches in the hill country of Texas. Jim has 6 years of appraisal experience. Jim currently offices at our Boerne location.

Charles W. Fehlis, MAI

Graduate of Southwest Texas State University in 1998 with a B.B.A. degree in Finance. Prior to entering the appraisal industry, Chuck spent two years in banking with experience in home equity mortgage lending. In his eighth year with Stouffer & Associates, Chuck was awarded the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in April 2008. He has experience appraising all types of commercial properties including office, retail, and industrial properties as well as numerous special purpose property types such as churches, automobile dealerships, and car washes.

Derek D. Spielhagen

Graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Texas Christian University in 1997 and spent a postgraduate year at TCU to complete a degree in Ranch Management. Derek has been with Stouffer & Associates for six years. Derek primarily performs single family and multi-family appraisals in San Antonio and farm and ranch appraisals in central and south Texas. Derek has been in the appraisal profession business for over eight years and looks forward to working with you in the future. Derek is state certified.

Chris Jones

Chris is a 2002 graduate from Baylor University with a BBA degree in Finance. Chris joined Stouffer & Associates in 2003 and concentrates primarily on commercial properties including office, warehouse, and vacant land. Chris obtained his state certification in September of 2005 and is currently pursuing the MAI designation. Chris would be glad to help you in any way he can.
